About the Speaker: 

Tony Garife

Tony Garife is the Regional Manager for ACT’s Work Ready Communities.  In his current role, Tony’s focus is working with state and county leaders that are participating in the ACT Work Ready Communities initiative.  Tony has also worked as a State Program Manager at ACT providing job skills assessment systems that helps employers select, hire, train, develop, and retain a high-performance workforce.   In addition, Tony has over 20 years of experience with federal financial aid, assisting students with financing their college education.  Tony has a Bachelor’s Degree from San Diego State University and a MBA from the University of Washington.


Michael Monson

After graduating in Chemical Engineering, Michael spent 35 years in the semiconductor industry, first as a Photolithography Engineer then transitioning into Sales & Marketing and then to a Business Management role.  In 2012, Michael transitioned to ACT, Inc. to help individuals achieve their education and workplace success.  For the past 6 years, Michael has worked exclusively in ACT’s Workforce department, helping educational institutions, government agencies, and companies better understand and use ACT WorkKeys assessments, ACT WorkKeys Curriculum and the other products and services associated with ACT Workforce product lines. 

Michael has over 40 years of sales and marketing, product management, and project management experience.
